Eric Cantona’s return to football cannot come with a small bang, and he arrived in the Big Bang with, well a Big Bang.

Few have the stature to occupy the huge electronic billboards in New York City’s iconic Times Square, but the King had to return to football in an emphatic style.

The Cosmos are set to return to big-time football in 2013, with US star Cobi Jones working alongside Cantona as associate sporting director and Pele as honourary president.
